Groomed by Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty since early childhood, Brajeshwar has emerged as one of the leading Hindustani vocalists in the concert circuit in India and abroad. Shri Mukherjee has been honored with prestigious awards such as the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar from the Sangeet Natak Academy, the Aditya Vikram Birla Kala Kiran Puraskar, and the Gaanwardhan Award from Pune. He is currently a junior Guru at the prestigious Sangeet Reasearch Academy in Kolkata.
